Website PicLaura Murphy has been Cork’s Dancer in Residence at Firkin Crane since 2012, an annual programme supported by the Arts Council, Cork City Council Arts Office and the Firkin Crane. The Dancer in Residency programme is a platform where Laura promotes professional dance activities and a professional dance community in Cork.

Dance Development Programme: Kildare County Council

Since 1998, the extensive programme has included accredited training and the establishment of Kildare Dance Summer School in Maynooth University.

 Journey: Dublin City Council

Journey: Dublin City Council  ‘Journey’, a Dublin City Council commissioned dance performance , retells the story of Orpheus in the Underworld for 10-15 year old children. Nine performances took place in Ballyfermot Library between 20th and 23rd October 2014, where the young audience follow Orpheus and Eurydice around the rooms and corridors of the Library.
