In the main the Arts Office was concerned with the following questions: How can contemporary art be brought to a rural audience in a way that is accessible, but without compromising the art?

Through The Friends, works of artistic significance are secured for the Wexford County Council Art Collection by means of gift bequest. The Friends also facilitate the donation of works on behalf of named or anonymous donors or in honour of a named person.
